On a frozen blue turf tundra, the St. Vincent – St. Mary Fighting Irish football team defeated the No. 1 Hubbard Eagles in miraculous fashion to capture their third straight Division III, Region 7 title.
The win came with the Irish surmounting a 10-point deficit in the final three minutes of the game, capped by an incredible 87 yard fumbled punt return with 30 seconds left in the ball game.
